Mathematics has played a fundamental role in Islamic architecture as both a technical tool and a conceptual framework for organizing spatial order and geometric harmony. Among Islamic mathematicians, Ghiyath al-Din Jamshid al-Kashi holds a significant position due to his systematic treatment of numerical ratios and geometric principles in architectural contexts. This study examines the application of al-Kashi’s mathematical principles in the geometric structures of the Azari architectural style, with particular emphasis on the Kabud (Blue) Mosque of Tabriz. Using a descriptive–analytical method with a quantitative approach, spatial dimensions derived from architectural drawings and field measurements are compared with numerical ratios presented in Miftah al-Hisab. The results demonstrate that spatial ratios such as 23/17 in the dome chamber and 9.52/7 in the side spaces closely correspond to ratios such as 4/3 and 27/20, with an error margin of less than 0.5%, confirming the influential role of mathematics in shaping architectural space.
